MedTech Field Service Technician - PM - Baltimore MD​/Richmond VA

Our part-time Med Tech Field Service Technician opportunity would see you supporting a leading medical device manufacturer’s field support needs through the completion of preventative maintenance in hospitals, pharmacies and other clinical settings. The current product line being supported is an automated medication dispensing system.

The part-time schedule for this opening will primarily be scheduled service appointments averaging 25-30 hours per week.

This opening has opportunities for growth that could expand into supporting the reactive on‑call team completing device repairs as needed.

• Travel locally and regionally as needed to complete bi‑annual or yearly preventative maintenance for healthcare facilities.
• Complete work order documentation following quality requirements.
• Conduct routine system checks and record data from product tests after configuration.
• Maintain tools assigned by the client as needed.
• Per‑diem (as needed) position requiring travel with some overnight assignments and flexibility.
• Availability to work scheduled facilities that may require service to take place either during the business day, or after business hours (nights).
• Coordinate with supporting teams such as schedulers to facilitate service appointments.

• High school diploma and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
• Must have intermediate troubleshooting abilities in the disciplines of electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems.
• Experience as a military technician, computer technician or other complex electronics technician preferred. Experience supporting automation equipment in a healthcare setting is a plus.
• A+ certification preferred.
• Prior field service, IT, electronics, military, or pharmacy technician experience is preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer support.
• Must have an active driver license and a personal vehicle to use for job related assignments (travel time and mileage are reimbursed)
• This position requires a considerable amount of pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and lifting approximately 70 lbs
• Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status, required

A required function of this job requires individuals to enter various healthcare facilities. Thus, upon selection, individuals must complete healthcare facility credentialing processes. To obtain credentials, individuals must meet the immunization requirements specified by the facility. Individuals are typically required to have completed/up to date:
Measles, Mumps & Rubella vaccine, Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine, Negative Tuberculosis (TB) Test, Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, Hepatitis B vaccine, Influenza vaccine (seasonal), and COVID-19 vaccine primary series (heavily enforced by most facilities, some require booster(s)). The potential base pay range for this role is 32.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job‑related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part‑time).
