Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring scrubbing experience and specialized certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
- Patient population includes laboring patients and those requiring delivery and immediate postpartum care
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (18:50 to 07:20)
- Must serve as backup scrub as needed
- Required to float to Mother/Baby and acts as backup scrub tech
- Two call shifts required per six-week schedule
- Every other weekend is required
- First-time travelers are accepted for this role
- Locals within 60 miles are eligible but at a different rate
- Holiday coverage may be required per department needs
- Scrub uniforms or dress code may apply per department standards
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 3 years Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
- Current BLS, NRP, C-EFM, and STABLE certifications required at the time of consideration
- Scrub experience in Labor & Delivery required
- Previous charge experience required
- ACLS and AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate preferred
