EMT Transport Tech
Full time - 36 hours - Rotating Shift.
The
EMT Transport Technician
provides input into the care of the acute patient, anticipates and assists in stabilization, and maintenance of current therapeutic modalities. Functions under the rules, regulations and protocols of Maryland's Emergency Medical Services System as an EMT-Basic, during out-of-hospital patient transport by ambulance, medical campus emergency responses, and during medical standby events.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)- Basic Program
- Knowledge of setting up and management of specialized patient care equipment utilized during medical transport process.
- Required minimum of one year's experience as a full-time BLS provider within last two years and preferred two years of EMS or hospital experience.
Minimal job requirements
- Be in possession of a current National Registry Emergency Medical Technician
- Basic certification.
- Current Maryland EMT
- Basic certification required upon hire
-or- obtained within the first 90 days of employment. - District of Columbia EMT - Basic certification required upon hire
-or- within the first 120 days of employment - Pennsylvania EMT certification required upon hire
-or- within the first 120 days of employment - Valid CPR certification required upon hire
- Unrestricted valid driver's license
Salary Range: Minimum 18.97/hour - Maximum 31.33/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
