Research Project Manager (Mental Health)

Responsible for supporting complex quantitative and data modeling research projects addressing violence and mental health comorbidities among Black women and families.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with investigators and exercise independent judgment in managing research conduct on behalf of the PI.
- Participate in scientific discussions with collaborators, PIs, and funding organizations.
- Collaborate on protocol development and study design.
- Develop or oversee development of standard operating procedures and data collection forms.
- Train and provide oversight of research data management and regulatory compliance issues.
- Develop or oversee study budgets and ensure all study costs are included.
- Responsible for finance‑related issues.
- Ensure the development, testing, and evaluation of manuals, questionnaires, and coding structures.
- Oversee data collection, validation, and quality control of study data.
- Lead study meetings to examine data, determine next steps, and implement changes to protocol operations.
- Contribute to presentations and manuscripts.
- Hire, supervise, and manage performance of exempt‑level research staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Serve as backup for direct participant engagement, including conducting study visits or interviews during evening or weekend hours.
- Lead and manage staff at all community outreach events.
- Proactively manage staffing gaps, scheduling conflicts, and emergent issues affecting study operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Five years of related research experience.
- Demonstrated supervisory or lead responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficiency in Qualtrics.
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Experience with health‑related datasets or population surveys.
- Experience applying culturally sensitive, non‑stigmatizing practices when managing data with marginalized populations.
- Foundational knowledge of SAS or SPSS.

Salary range: $55,800 – $97,600 annually cabine, commensurate with experience.
Employment type:
Full‑time, Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
