Physical Therapist Assistant

Join us as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Stern Consultants, working at the Autumn Lake Healthcare Post Acute Care Center to help residents recover from surgeries, regain strength after illness, prevent falls, and maintain independence in their daily lives.

The PTA will implement care and interventions to improve patients’ mobility, including exercise, massage, gait and balance training, as well as other therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities include providing exercise instruction, demonstrating empathy, documenting treatment outcomes, and enhancing patients’ physical abilities and well‑being. Collaboration with a cohesive group, continuous professional development, and participation in team decision‑making are also integral to the role.

• Active state PTA license required.
• Full‑time position; optional PRN coverage available at multiple locations with potential full‑time opportunities elsewhere.

Salary: $34–$39 per hour.

While we cannot guarantee hours, we typically offer a full caseload. Most facilities are located nearby, allowing additional hours at other sites.

Staff are eligible for performance reviews, where raises are possible.

Our facility offers varied practice areas; therapists who leave generally pursue other specialties. Many stay PRN, and we rarely see therapists moving to competing SNFs.

Most regional directors and corporate members are therapists who understand Medicare and insurance guidelines. They collaborate with each team member to ensure a well‑supported environment.
