Cardiac Intervention Technologist II (PRN)

Join Med Star Health as a PRN Cardiac Intervention Technologist II, responsible for patient management during angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures.

• Administer contrast media into coronary arteries during cardiac catheterization, monitoring vital signs and pathology.
• Provide patient care throughout procedure, work as first assistant to physician, scrub independently, and aid guide wire and catheter manipulation.
• Maintain interventional and cardiac supplies, record patient and inventory data in RIS and hospital computer systems.
• Monitor hemodynamic and electrocardiographic parameters, perform electrophysiology and ablation procedures, and respond to emergencies.
• Handle pre‑procedural tasks (sterile tray prep, patient education, lab work verification) and post‑procedural duties (site observation, discharge instructions, patient transport).
• Operate imaging equipment to produce high‑quality diagnostic images per departmental policy.

• Completion of an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology (minimum 2 years).
• At least 2 years of diagnostic radiology experience.
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent.
• ARRT certification or registration.
• Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or eligibility.

USD $42.82 – $78.27 per hour.
