- Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Operations, the Physician Practice Coordinator oversees and facilitates the daily operations of low‑volume specialty practices that do not require a Practice Manager.
- Works closely with the Senior Director to set goals and implement processes to improve office operations.
- Manages day‑to‑day operational needs, including staffing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, front office, and patient flow.
- Supervises administrative support staff and medical assistants, and serves as a resource for physicians and mid‑level practitioners.
- Continuously reviews existing practice operations with a view toward enhancing quality, efficiency, innovation, patient satisfaction, and cost reduction.
- Prepares and analyzes reports on physician practices for the Senior Director.
- Serves as an Epic super‑user and trainer for all practice‑management systems.
- Education and
Work Experience:- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 3 years of related physician‑practice experience.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with Meditech and Epic (if applicable to the position).
- Experience with Performance Manager/Net Learning.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude to utilize one or more of the following.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make independent decisions when warranted.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
- Flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be able to accurately type 40 words per minute.
