Responsibilities
  • Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Operations, the Physician Practice Coordinator oversees and facilitates the daily operations of low‑volume specialty practices that do not require a Practice Manager.
  • Works closely with the Senior Director to set goals and implement processes to improve office operations.
  • Manages day‑to‑day operational needs, including staffing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, front office, and patient flow.
  • Supervises administrative support staff and medical assistants, and serves as a resource for physicians and mid‑level practitioners.
  • Continuously reviews existing practice operations with a view toward enhancing quality, efficiency, innovation, patient satisfaction, and cost reduction.
  • Prepares and analyzes reports on physician practices for the Senior Director.
  • Serves as an Epic super‑user and trainer for all practice‑management systems.
Requirements
  • Education and

    Work Experience:

    • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 3 years of related physician‑practice experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Experience with Meditech and Epic (if applicable to the position).
    • Experience with Performance Manager/Net Learning.
    • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude to utilize one or more of the following.
    • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions when warranted.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
    • Flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
    • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must be able to accurately type 40 words per minute.
