We are currently searching for an experienced IOP Addiction Counselor for our Brooklyn, MD location. The Addiction Counselor position at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and all of its subsidiaries (“Kolmac” or the “Company”) requires someone who is innovative, committed to learning, and dedicated to patient care with a solution‑focused attitude and outlook.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications- $3,000 sign on bonus
- Provides case management services which support a positive treatment outcome
- Serves as therapist in IOP and continued care groups, and provides individual therapy as needed for SUD and/or mental health disorders
- Organizes and makes educational presentations related to behavioral health and recovery
- Develop patient‑centered treatment plans based on results from screening tools and biopsychosocial assessment
- Collaborates with medical staff and treatment team as a whole
- Consults with family members and referral sources in order to coordinate patient care
- Ensures adequate case management services are identified and addressed
- Maintains electronic health records, documenting treatment activity and progress
- Ensures patient records are accurate, comprehensive and meet regulatory standards
- Strong clinical, verbal, and writing skills
- Engages with patients while promoting and maintaining accountability
- Flexible and creative team player
- Versatile, flexible, and willing to work in a program that will grow and expand over the next several years
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the SUD field; group treatment experience preferred but not required
- Experience and comfort working with an electronic medical record
- Knowledgeable in various recovery modalities, including SMART Recovery, Women for Sobriety, 12‑Step, Recovery Dharma, Harm Reduction, etc.
- If staff member is in recovery from a substance use disorder, a minimum of three years of continuous sobriety is required – five years is preferred
- Addiction Counselor I – CSC‑AD in Maryland
- Addiction Counselor II – CAC‑AD, LGADC, LGPC, LMSW, LCADC, LCPC, LCSW or LCSW‑C in Maryland

The base pay for this position is up to $38 per hour. Factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, licensure (ADT, CSC‑AD, CAC‑AD), education, and skill level may impact the pay.
