Are you a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for helping children and adolescents thrive in their educational journey? Kennedy Krieger Institute is seeking aSpeech-Language Pathologist Ito join our dynamic Special Education team and make a lasting impact in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.
Exciting opportunity to work with a team of supportive SLPs. Work with elementary, high school, and transitional students (up to 21 years old) with complex communication needs and significant behavioral challenges. Many AAC/AT learning opportunities. Students earn certificates of completion as they work to develop functional life skills in this collaborative and specialized interdisciplinary setting. Opportunities for growth and leadership.
What You’ll Do:As an SLP-I, you’ll play a vital role in supporting students with communication challenges by:
- Conductingcomprehensive assessmentsin speech, language, oral motor, and feeding/swallowing.
- Developing and implementingindividualized intervention plansaligned with each student’s IEP.
- Delivering services in diverse settings includingpull-out, classroom, and co-teaching formats.
- Collaborating with families, educators, and other professionals to ensureeducational benefit.
- Maintaining detailed documentation in compliance withMSDE, ASHA, and departmental standards.
- Participating inteam meetings, staff development, and community outreach.
- Master’s degree inSpeech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)from ASHA.
- Maryland State Licensure(or eligibility).
- Experience working with children with communication disorders.
- Ability to lift/carry students and adaptive equipment as needed.
- Comfortable working in a school setting with potential exposure to communicable diseases.
- Strongorganizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment toprofessional developmentandservice excellence.
- Deep understanding ofdevelopmental communication disorders.
- Ability to tailor services to diverse age groups and needs.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work across disciplines.
- Knowledge ofIEP development and implementation.

Minimum pay rangeUSD $37.50/Hr. Maximum pay range
