Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking afull-timeRegistered Dietitianfor Med Star Harbor Hospital, located inBaltimore, MD.Med Star Harbor Hospital is a private non-profit 150-bed acute care teaching hospital located along the beautiful Patapsco River in South Baltimore.

We are looking for a candidate to work Monday through Friday, NO ROUTINE WEEKEND COVERAGE! Rotating holiday coverage, some holidays can be remote coverage.

Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees, and CDR renewal

Three weeks of vacation, eight holidays, and three personal days paid each year

Reimbursement for AND/ASPEN dues, state licensure fees and CDR registration renewal

$300 annually towards CEUs available after 1 year of service

$5,000 annually towards Tuition Reimbursement

Complimentary meals

• Provide MNT for patients in ICU, telemetry/step down unit, and NICU. Provide cross coverage for general medical units as needed
• Educate patients regarding nutrition therapy for their acute and/or chronic diseases
• Perform quality improvement initiatives such as peer chart audits and monthly test trays
• Participate in nutrition programming for clinical staff and visitors and occasional community outreach, as well as monthly nutrition in-services to FNS staff
• Assist in precepting Dietetic Interns during clinical rotations

• One year of experience providing medical nutrition therapy to adults in an acute care setting, ICU/NICU experience preferred
• Comfort with enteral and parenteral nutrition
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR, preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management skills
• Be a self-starter and a team player
• Ability to work well with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
