Mammography Technologist (Sibley Memorial Hospital)
Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is the internal staffing agency for the Johns Hopkins Health System and partner hospitals, providing temporary support to a variety of locations. As a temporary employee, you will feel part of a large organization and work with a diverse team of nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals.

Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, DC
- Monday‑Friday
- 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
$37 – $44 per hour
Requirements- Under general supervision and in consultation with the radiologist, performs mammographic procedures of routine and difficult nature.
- Participates in scheduling procedures for the Breast Imaging Center.
- Performs diagnostic mammography procedures.
- Verifies that proper anatomical structures of the breast are demonstrated for radiologic interpretation.
- Operates stationary and portable radiographic equipment.
- Loads cassettes and processes images for final analysis.
- Explains the procedure to the patient and assists with patient positioning.
- Ensures patient privacy, safety, and comfort.
- Determines proper technical factors such as voltage, current, exposure time, and focal distance based on patient size, physical condition and suspected pathology.
- Completion of an AMA‑approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, typically a two‑year college or technical school program.
- ARRT Mammography certification with current registration.
- Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians required.
- CPR BLS certification required.
- Comprehensive understanding of breast anatomy and proficiency in performing breast radiology examinations acquired from 1–2 years of directly related experience.
- Minimum of 6 months experience performing mammography radiology procedures.
