Johns Hopkins Intrastaff is the internal staffing agency for the Johns Hopkins Health System and partner hospitals, providing temporary support to a variety of locations. As a temporary employee, you will feel part of a large organization and work with a diverse team of nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals.

Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, DC

• Monday‑Friday
• 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

$37 – $44 per hour

• Under general supervision and in consultation with the radiologist, performs mammographic procedures of routine and difficult nature.
• Participates in scheduling procedures for the Breast Imaging Center.
• Performs diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Verifies that proper anatomical structures of the breast are demonstrated for radiologic interpretation.
• Operates stationary and portable radiographic equipment.
• Loads cassettes and processes images for final analysis.
• Explains the procedure to the patient and assists with patient positioning.
• Ensures patient privacy, safety, and comfort.
• Determines proper technical factors such as voltage, current, exposure time, and focal distance based on patient size, physical condition and suspected pathology.

• Completion of an AMA‑approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, typically a two‑year college or technical school program.
• ARRT Mammography certification with current registration.
• Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians required.
• CPR BLS certification required.
• Comprehensive understanding of breast anatomy and proficiency in performing breast radiology examinations acquired from 1–2 years of directly related experience.
• Minimum of 6 months experience performing mammography radiology procedures.
