Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM
• Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 12:25 PM (Approx. 35 hours/week)

The School Aide works under the supervision of the Special Education Department or designated supervisor to support students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance. Responsibilities include working 1:1 with students with Autism and related behavioral challenges, assisting with classroom preparation, and providing support for personal care or mobility needs as directed by healthcare professionals.

• Provide individualized support to students with Autism and behavioral needs.
• Assist with classroom activities and preparation.
• Implement de-escalation strategies and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Float between classrooms as needed (same location).

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray)
• Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Previous experience working with students with Autism
• Ability to verbally de-escalate situations
• Professional, punctual, and adaptable

• Fingerprinting, CPS, MD486, MSDE
• Seasonal flu shot (no exemptions)

  Onsite first day

  School-appropriate attire (no ripped clothing, logos, or unprofessional images)
• Parking:
  Available onsite
• Crisis Management Training (PCM) provided
