• Practicing as an expert in the application of the nutrition care process and theory.
• Documents in the medical record using the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standardized language as part of the Nutrition Care Process.
• Performing nutrition assessments and identifying nutrition diagnoses; recommending and implementing nutrition care plans based on evidence-based practice. Identifies appropriate nutrition diagnosis and malnutrition criteria. Identifies age‑specific physical, psychosocial and cultural needs when carrying out patient activities.
• Working collaboratively with a multi‑disciplinary healthcare team to promote wellness, maintenance of current health, and/or intervene in acute or chronic illness. Communicates the nutrition plan with the interdisciplinary team.
• Providing education at the appropriate level/learning mode for the patient/family and documenting a learning assessment and an assessment of patient's readiness to learn, teaching methods, and response to the information provided.

• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science and social science as applied to human nutrition is required.
• Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed as a Dietitian‑Nutritionist (LDN) in Maryland.
• Entry‑level will be considered.

Minimum $27.97/hour - Maximum $46.18/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
