Position Overview

The Clinical Specialist serves as the primary clinical and technical partner for customers following the sale of capital equipment. This role, working with anesthesiologists and other perioperative stakeholders, drives successful implementations, go‑lives, and delivers ongoing clinical education and support. The Clinical Specialist assumes full ownership of post‑sale implementation and clinical engagement, serving as the primary point of contact for onboarding, training, and ongoing clinical optimization.

This role involves partnering with various hospital personnel, including:

  • Clinical Champions and Department Leads (Anesthesia)
  • Biomedical / Clinical Engineering teams
  • EMR Integration and IT teams
  • Anesthesia Technicians or Anesthesia Tech Supervisors
  • Project Managers or Implementation Leads (as applicable)
Core Responsibilities
  • Assume full ownership of post‑sale customer implementations, serving as the primary clinical and technical lead.
  • Schedule, lead, and document virtual and on‑site planning meetings with customer project teams.
  • Define system integration workflows and identify required engagement with IT, Biomedical Engineering, and perioperative leadership.
Technical & Operational Execution
  • Coordinate and support all technical aspects of system deployment, including site readiness and installation plans.
  • Serve as the primary clinical and technical liaison between the customer and internal cross‑functional teams.
Go‑Live Planning & Execution
  • Develop, manage, and execute detailed go‑live timelines and schedules.
  • Provide on‑site or virtual go‑live support to ensure clinical confidence, workflow continuity, and patient safety.
Clinical Education & Training
  • Deliver hands‑on clinical support in the operating room and perioperative environment.
  • Conduct formal education sessions for anesthesiologists, CRNAs, anesthesia technicians, and perioperative staff.
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with customers, Sales, and internal cross‑functional partners.
  • Support long‑term customer success through trusted clinical partnership, ongoing education, and relationship management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Required: Industry experience in either a sales or clinical specialist role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting capital equipment implementations or complex clinical workflows in hospital settings.
  • Strong working knowledge of operating room and anesthesia workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead customer‑facing projects and manage multiple implementations concurrently.
  • High level of technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn, configure, and troubleshoot medical devices.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to (50%), including overnight travel.
