Patient Access DepartmentThe Patient Access Department coordinates patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and pre‑admission requirements. The team also provides financial counseling, supports emergency department access, assists with medical record requests, and serves as a key point of contact for patient inquiries related to appointments and hospital procedures.
Position OverviewThe Patient Access Associate plays a critical role in patient registration, collecting payments, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a smooth interaction with patients. This position requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to serve as a liaison between the hospital and patients, addressing patient needs and facilitating positive interactions with families and care teams.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a liaison between the hospital and patients, ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism.
- Provide a positive customer experience by maintaining a positive attitude, being tactful, and offering assistance willingly to patients, families, and colleagues.
- Greet every customer with warmth, including a smile, eye contact, and a clear introduction with your name and title.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED (preferred) - Experience:
1‑3 years of relevant experience
