Physical Therapist Assistant PTA - Outpatient Ortho/Sports

Med Star Health is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at MHPT South Baltimore. The selected PTA will split time between clinics in South Baltimore and Dundalk, providing physical therapy services including treatment, training, and equipment recommendations under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, in accordance with state requirements.

• Document and charge for patient care activities, maintaining an accurate record of the patient’s course of care under supervised conditions.
• Demonstrate effective time management, meet productivity expectations, and maintain a flexible, patient‑centered schedule.
• Complete discharge planning, determine equipment needs, and coordinate follow‑up care with the supervising physical therapist.
• Initiate innovative treatment ideas, involve patients and families in planning, and provide interventions within the treatment plan’s limits under supervision.
• Document changes in patient condition and help modify the treatment plan; provide verbal or written reports for patient progress conferences.
• Pursue continuing education for professional growth and serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students.

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Registered in Maryland, District of Columbia, or Virginia as required for location.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Hiring Range: USD $25.86 – $46.12 per hour.
