We are a full‑time, center‑based early intervention Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy program serving children with autism from 18 months to 6 years. Our mission is to deliver high‑quality therapy that supports communication, social, and academic development.

Job Description

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions, support patient independence, and enhance quality of life.

Job Duties
  • Assist the Occupational Therapist in providing skilled occupational therapy services to patients in settings such as inpatient, outpatient, home health, and schools.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising OT.
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and compensatory strategies.
  • Monitor progress, document findings, and report changes to the supervising OT.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records: notes, progress reports, discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and in‑service training.
  • Adhere to standards set by the American Occupational Therapy Association and state boards.
  • Create a safe, clean working environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the therapy department.

Required Qualifications
  • Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.
  • Current and active Certified OT Assistant (COTA) licensure in the state(s) of hire.
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 1 year of experience as a COTA, preferably early intervention or with children with autism.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects as required by the role.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, kneel, crawl, squat, run or stand for extended periods.
  • Reach and hold objects comfortably.
  • Lift 30 pounds.
