Overview
Radiologic Technologist / MRI/ Ultrasound MR Fusion - Floater at UMS - United Medical Systems is a full-time position for medical imaging professionals with MRI, Ultrasound, or Radiologic Technology/Interventional experience. The Floater travels across multiple states to support MR Fusion Prostate Biopsy procedures in the OR and to provide MR Fusion device operation support to Urologists.
MR Fusion Biopsy is a new procedure intended to improve early and accurate detection of prostate cancer. Fusion Technologists work independently to manage the logistical and clinical needs for their route in preparation for procedures.
Responsibilities- Communicate with Urology offices to confirm upcoming schedules
- Obtain MRI mappings from Radiology teams (can be done remotely via the Cloud)
- Travel to facilities to deliver equipment prior to procedures
- Provide technical and clinical support to Urologists during procedures
- Assist the Urologist in fusing MRI mapping to live Ultrasound and navigate in a 3D environment with the Fusion device
This role does not perform MRI scans but supports imaging fusion and device navigation during procedures.
Work Arrangement- Floater role with extensive travel across multiple states
- May include flights or driving to access a company vehicle in the territory
- All work-related travel expenses are paid by the company
- Some overnight travel may be required for certain facilities
Extensive training will be provided for operating the fusion device and ultrasound. This position offers the opportunity to specialize further in imaging technology and work autonomously.
