Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide high quality care to patients at our East Baltimore Medical Center Med/Pediatrics Practice
. In partnership with Baltimore Medical System another local health system, that provides much-needed healthcare services to the community. The Medical Assistant administers medications and immunizations, obtains vital signs, maintains inventory of appropriate supplies, ensures safe and efficient patient flow, tracks high-risk referrals and lab tests, facilitates safe transitions of care, organizes practice environment to assure patient safety and quality outcomes, and contributes to HEDIS and designated quality measures.

Shift

Non-exempt - Full‑time - 40 hours per week - dayshift Mon‑Fri - 8:00 - 5:00 p.m.

• High School Diploma or GED required. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant required. Successful completion of the AAMA, RMA/AMT, NCRMA (NAHP), NCMA (NCCT), RCMAS (NCMA), CCMA (NHA) or RMA (American Allied Health). Medical Assistant Certification required within 3 months of hire. Five or more years of specific applicable MA experience in primary medical care may be substituted for formal training program provided eligibility for RMA(American Medical Technologists) exam. A valid CPR certification required upon hire and recertification required every two years.
• Two years’ experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.

Salary Range:
Minimum 17.82/hour - Maximum 29.43/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
