The Elite Stylist engages with guests, consults on hair care needs, recommends products and services, and delivers quality professional services focused on the guest’s total look. The role supports the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager, focusing on performance, people, and process.

• Perform hair services including design, cutting, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing where applicable.
• Meet or exceed sales goal of $1,900 average weekly sales and productivity goals, contributing to store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Perform product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and enhance service experience.
• Support execution of in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives ensuring an unrivaled guest experience.
• Stay informed on new industry trends, products, and services and be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and appropriate recommendations.
• Serve all guests, including walk‑in guests, timely and efficiently.
• Partner with skin therapists and retail team to provide a total‑store experience.
• Establish professional relationships with peers and brand partners to deliver exceptional service.
• Share benefits of the loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for continuous professional development.

• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures before, during, and after services.
• Follow established service protocols for consistency and excellence.
• Use booking systems to schedule clients for return services and events.
• Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager.
• Maintain store operational standards including cleanliness of salon, salesfloor, restrooms, and break area.
• Adhere to the dress code and loss‑prevention best practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• Cosmetology license

• Previous relevant work experience required

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques: haircutting, color, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Proficiency with equipment and chemicals needed for technical work.
• Ability to recommend and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and a clientele.

• Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Continuous mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting/moving up to 10 lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting.
• Stand for long periods.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.

The pay range for this position is the higher of $12.50–$19.00 per hour or services pay pursuant to the Services Compensation Plan. Exact pay depends on education, qualifications, experience, level, shift, location, and business needs. Eligible associates may earn overtime, tips paid by service guests. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits; part‑time for dental, vision, life and disability.
