Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector, Airborne Multifunction Sensors Division (AMS), is looking for you to join our team as a Contract Administrator/Principal Contract Administrator based out of our Linthicum, MD office supporting our F-35 Radar/EODAS Sustainment Operating Unit (OU) in the Tactical Fighters (TF) Business Unit (BU). In this role you will support the development programs and will report to the F-35 Sustainment Contracts Manager.

This requisition may be filled as a Contract Administrator or Principal Contract Administrator.

What You’ll Get to Do:
  • Administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts.
  • Apply sound judgment to proposal strategy, contract formation, and customer relationships.
  • Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare proposal submittal documents, and coordinate appropriate levels of internal review and approval.
  • Manage fact-finding, evaluation notices, and negotiations between customer and program team.
  • Build knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
  • Manage and administer Contractual Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and other reports.
  • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations.
  • Compile and analyze data.
  • Maintain historical information through the closeout process.
Basic Qualifications for Contract Administrator:
  • Bachelor's degree - 2 years of experience in DoD Contracts or Subcontracts / - OR - 1 year with a Master's - OR - 6 years of direct DoD Contracts or Subcontracts experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and Adobe.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Contract Administrator:
  • Bachelor's degree - 5 years of experience in DoD Contracts or Subcontracts / - OR - 3 years with a Master's - OR - 9 years of direct DoD Contracts or Subcontracts experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and Adobe.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS as well as experience with different contract types is preferred.
  • Current, Active DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense Industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional teams.
  • Experience with USG and Prime customers.
  • Experience working restricted programs, proven ability to work in closed areas with moderate oversight.
