This position, with the Department of Public Safety, Intelligence and Investigative Division (IID), Task Force Unit (TFU) will directly report to the Commander of the Task Force for DPSCS and work off-site at the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Strike Force location in Baltimore, Maryland. The Task Force Analyst (TFA) position works with investigators for the OCDETF Strike Force and the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO).
The TFA effectively applies critical thinking methodologies and processes in resolving complex problems, analyzing along with the development, production, and delivery of information; conducting structured analysis of events, performing in-depth all-source research and analysis, and preparing written assessments for policy, intelligence, and law enforcement communities.
- Education:
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. - Experience:
Six years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
- One (1) year of experience working with a federal task force.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years of law enforcement experience researching, analyzing and reporting criminal activity.
- Degree from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice.
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
