A Program Compliance Assistant performs paraprofessional program compliance work by collecting and documenting data observed at program sites. The work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek, although occasional early mornings, evening and weekend work may be necessary. Work is performed primarily at program sites where working conditions are normal.
The work requires minimal physical exertion.
On or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must:
- Education: Have graduated from an accredited high school or possession of a GED certificate.
- Have two years of experience in program administration, program compliance work or community service work.
- License, Registrations and Certificates: A valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license, or an equivalent out-of-state driver’s license acceptable to the Office of Risk Management is required.

Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint must be successfully completed.
PROBATIONAll persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month's probation.
ELIGIBILITYQualified candidates will be considered for vacancies as they arise, for a period of at least six months. The decision of the Director of Human Resources with respect to acceptable minimum qualifications is final.
EDUCATION ACCREDITATIONApplicants’ education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Education credentials obtained out of the US must be evaluated for US equivalency. Evaluation agencies information may be obtained es.org.
