Description of duties:

*) Processes interfaces and uploads transactions to the financial system. Reviews documents to ensure their proper backup.

*) Processes the manual disbursement documents in the financial system to record Automated Clearing House (ACH) disbursements.

*) Maintains system open and close periods to ensure transactions are posted to the proper fiscal year.

*) Processes periodic batch and chain jobs in the financial system and monitors them for completion.

*) Reviews journal entries for proper backup documentation and accurate coding and approvals.

*) Receives, reviews, and processes invoices for a variety of payable accounts. Resolves discrepancies, which may require extensive research.

*) Reviews purchase orders, invoices, receiving confirmations, invoice approvals, and purchase order verifications to ensure that payments to vendors can be made promptly.

*) Processes reimbursements to schools and travel and mileage reimbursements for employees. Ensures their compliance with travel policies, rules, and procedures.

*) Verifies the accuracy of accounts payable checks before mailing.
