Overview

Customer Service Advisor Float - Arbutus (Job #61-8687)

Location:

This position is 100% in office. The employee will work their scheduled hours at a Wes Banco location. Consideration for location will be Arbutus and will float to Canton, Glen Burnie, Bowie and Annapolis Banking Centers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Personally models the standards of the Bank s Mission, Vision, and Pledge.
  • Assess the financial needs of Banking Center clients and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Accepts and accurately processes all financial service transactions.
  • Responsible for CSR cash drawer and follows proper balancing and cash handling procedures.
  • Complies with security and audit procedures.
  • Consistently meets and exceeds defined sales goals for loans, deposits, partner referrals and profitability.
  • Promotes the sales culture within the banking center by selling and promoting the Bank s products and services to reach individual and team sales goals.
  • Communicates and partners effectively with branch staff to promote a team environment and achieve goals.
  • Monitors performance against banking center goals and adjusts individual goals and promotions as needed.
  • Executes outbound calling activities inside the banking center using customer lists; promotes bank products and makes appropriate referrals as defined by location goals.
  • Educates the bank team on opportunities to advance customers  financial wellness.
  • Sets priorities and follows through on defined sales and service activities.
  • Promotes company products and services in the community to support bank growth.
  • Supports day-to-day operations including customer service, opening/closing procedures, vault responsibilities, cash controls, inventory, audits and compliance.
  • Participates in regular sales and staff meetings.
  • Provides service to customers on banking matters and resolves issues professionally.
  • Builds relationships with internal partners and seeks constructive feedback when appropriate.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and follows established guidelines using available resources.
  • Maintains security controls to protect against risks or exposures.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and customer business.
  • Contributes in a team environment to service customer needs by answering calls and supporting banking center success.
  • Cross trained and assists with operational duties.
Other Skills and Requirements
  • Banking is a highly regulated industry; maintain proficiency in bank policies and procedures and complete compliance training timely.
  • Willing to register and maintain NMLS registration as required by SAFES Act.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook 365 and banking software; strong computer skills.
  • Strong consumer lending skills preferred; solid understanding of consumer lending products.
  • Ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calling and internal business development.
  • Ability to interact with customers effectively and communicate concepts clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Strong product knowledge for selling bank products.
  • Ability to interpret varied instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Sound mathematical and analytical skills preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and be flexible.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be available to work all hours of operations.
Benefits and Compensation

The wage range for the Customer Service Advisor position is $18.50 - $21.50 per hour with approved overtime and referral incentives. The position includes 17 days of PTO, 5 days of STD, and 11 annual paid holidays.
