Job Overview
We are looking to fill an Operations Support Specialist role with the Shared Services and Bank Operations team of a well-established financial services organization in Baltimore, MD. This role sits within the Security Settlements department, a high-energy production team of 30 professionals. You will play a critical role in supporting Fixed Income and Equity products across American, Latin American, and Canadian markets.
This is an excellent entry-level or early-career opportunity for a professional with a Bachelor's Degree who has a keen interest in the financial services or investment banking industry.
- Settlement Execution: Facilitate the settlement of Fixed Income and Equity securities.
- Risk Management: Manage firm deficits and inventory to minimize buy-in and regulatory risk.
- Asset Oversight: Execute client asset transfers and manage the segregation of assets for Institutional Equity, Prime Brokerage, and Bank Resource Management divisions.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve trade breaks and settlement fails in a timely manner.
- Strategic Projects: Contribute to ongoing initiatives involving Predictive Analytics, AGILE work methods, and the LEAN agenda.
- Communication: Coordinate with internal stakeholders and update procedural documentation as needed.

Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Basic accounting skills are essential. - Analytical Mindset: solid problem‑solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and risk awareness.
- Communication:
Professional verbal and written business communication skills. - Experience (Plus):
Prior knowledge of Equity/Fixed Income products or settlement market rules is a plus. - Years of experience: 0 years (Entry Level) Interview Process

Salary: $19 – $20 per hour
