Relationship Banker – Canton Crossing – Truist
We are looking for a Relationship Banker to provide an industry‑leading client service experience in person and by phone. The role entails developing and expanding new and existing client relationships, providing financial solutions, and cross‑training on teller duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Exercise advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution, and advanced sales for deposit, credit, convenience, and other product lines.
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services focused on developing, expanding, and retaining relationships.
- Support team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs to internal specialists.
- Participate fully in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
- Commit to advancing product knowledge through training and web‑based learning.
- Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
- Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
- Ensure a consistent client service experience through courteous conversation and by helping clients navigate the branch.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of client sales and service experience.
- Experience with sourcing and prospecting new clients and building relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
- Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to multi‑task under time constraints.
- Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignments or locale changes.
- Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights.
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional service quality and responsiveness.
- Experience selling deposit, credit, and retirement products to consumers and small business clients.
- Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
Base Salary: $45,760 - $56,000 per year. Additional incentive pay is available.
