Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740, including all related financial reporting requirements.
- Perform regular reconciliations of tax general ledger accounts.
- Support SEC reporting, including tax disclosures in Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
- Manage the preparation of U.S. federal, state, and foreign income tax returns, as well as non‑income and informational filings, in coordination with third‑party service providers.
- Maintain and oversee the global tax compliance calendar in partnership with external providers.
- Calculate and prepare quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments.
- Conduct tax research, document conclusions, and present findings related to matters impacting the company’s global tax structure.
- Assist with the ongoing review and maintenance of tax policies and internal controls in compliance with SOX 404.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including finance and legal, to support information gathering and enhance understanding of business activities.
- Support tax‑related components of the company’s forecasting and planning processes.
- Manage and/or prepare non‑income tax filings, such as VAT, sales and use tax, and property tax.
- Assist in the initiation, management, and execution of tax planning initiatives.
- 5–8 years experience in corporate tax or public accounting (with a Big 4 firm).
- BS/BA and CPA required;
Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred. - Ability to stay current on tax laws and regulations, conduct research, and develop well‑reasoned conclusions.
- Ability to educate and advise financial management on significant tax matters.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Proactive, self‑directed, and able to perform effectively in a dynamic environment while exercising sound judgment.
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple complex projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate tax and a general understanding of international tax concepts.
- Expert proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with One Source (OTP) tax provision software is a plus.
