Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox, L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, is seeking a Controls Engineering Leader to lead and develop our Life Cycle Services Controls organization supporting customers across North America.

Intralox Equipment specializes in turnkey solutions for the logistics and material handling industries. We work closely with customers to understand their most critical operational challenges and deliver value through design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, training, and long-term support of conveyance and sortation solutions.

This role is a senior leadership position responsible for building, developing, and enabling a high-performing team of Controls Engineers and Automation Specialists. The successful candidate will focus on people leadership, problem-solving leadership, and cross-functional facilitation, ensuring teams are equipped to solve complex customer problems while growing the next generation of leaders within the organization.

Rather than serving as the primary technical expert, this leader creates the environment, clarity, and structure for teams to do their best work---especially in high-stakes customer situations.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership, Vision & Culture
* Set and align the vision, priorities, and operating principles for the Life Cycle Services Controls team in partnership with Technical Services and Commercial leadership.
* Build a strong leadership bench by developing engineers into technical leaders, facilitators, and future people managers.
* Foster a culture of trust, accountability, continuous improvement, and learning aligned with the Laitram Business Philosophy.
* Serve as a senior escalation leader during complex customer challenges, facilitating teams through ambiguity rather than personally solving the technical details.
Team Development & People Leadership
* Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent with a strong focus on long-term growth and leadership potential.
* Lead thorough regular one-on-ones, team forums, and structured development conversations focused on capability building and career progression.
* Coach leaders and individual contributors on problem framing, prioritization, communication, and customer engagement.
