RF Test and Power Engineer - 67456 Pay Range - $50 - $55/hr RF Test and Power Engineer (1st or 2nd Shift)We are seeking an RF Test and Power Engineer to support manufacturing test engineering operations in Baltimore, MD. This is a hands‑on production engineering role ideal for a self‑driven engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and takes ownership of:
- Technical performance
- Test yield improvement
- Hardware delivery schedules
The engineer will support development, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of RF, digital, and power hardware used in complex systems.
Responsibilities- Design and implement test methods, procedures, and test equipment
- Perform hands‑on testing and troubleshooting of RF, digital, and power hardware
- Support First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and on‑time hardware delivery
- Analyze test data to identify yield detractors and trends
- Drive root cause and corrective action for test failures
Improve test equipment, processes, and manufacturing performance - Partner with design engineering to implement hardware improvements
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to test technicians
- Monitor yield performance and meet program targets
- Report production metrics in program meetings
- Interface with manufacturing, design, systems, and program management teams
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related STEM field) + 2+ years relevant experience OR
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (no experience required)
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, specifications, and block diagrams
- Hands‑on experience with power diodes, transistors, capacitors, and circuitry
- Experience with high‑power test equipment (oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
- Proven troubleshooting experience with power components and systems
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Advanced degree focused on RF or power systems
- Experience troubleshooting complex circuitry at component/system level
- Experience with Lab Windows/CVI and C/C++
- Test stand development/programming experience
- Strong RF theory and high‑speed digital knowledge
- Demonstrated hands‑on hardware debugging expertise
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
