Job Summary:
As a Director of MEP Engineering, you will be responsible for establishing and leading an Engineering Division in the DC Metro Area. We are seeking a candidate with extensive MEP experience and strong leadership skills. Initially, this position can be remote, but you will eventually be required to relocate to the DC Metro/MD area to build and manage an office there.
We welcome applicants who are open to this future move to help us develop our local presence.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Management:
• Build and lead a high-performing team of MEP professionals.
• Drive division strategy and growth.
• Oversee project execution and quality control.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent.
• Manage division profitability and operations
Technical Leadership:
• Direct complex MEP design projects.
• Lead engineering evaluations and studies.
• Ensure technical excellence across all disciplines.
• Provide senior technical oversight.
• Drive innovation in design solutions.
Business Development:
• Develop and execute growth strategies.
• Build strong client relationships.
• Lead proposal development.
• Participate in industry organizations.
• Drive market expansion.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Professional Engineering license.
• Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering degree.
• 10+ years MEP engineering experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of MEP and fire protection systems.
• Expertise in mechanical and/or electrical design.
• Strong understanding of architectural and structural principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (BIM experience preferred).
• Proven business development track record.
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
