Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Staff Systems Engineer/Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. This position is located in Baltimore, MD. This individual will lead a cross-discipline engineering team typically greater than 15 people, overseeing System ATP, flight test, Qualification testing, and general systems integration. The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings.

The selected candidate is expected to be self-motivated, highly-organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities :
* Lead an engineering team working to transition from EMD, Integration & Test to production for a very important sector priority program with many time-critical elements and high management visibility.

* Deliver all product team deliverables on time and within cost, while meeting contractual programmatic and technical requirements and stakeholder expectations, and measure and report Earned Value (EV) performance.
* Ensure technical quality, performance, cost and schedule for product team content on the program, in alignment with Engineering and Division processes, program policies, and industry best standards
* Adhere to the IPT Statement of Work (SOW) and perform rigorous change management in coordination with program leadership
* Identification of resources, including staffing, required to complete product team deliverables, and communicate the need in a timely manner to enable onboarding of the resources early enough to meet program objectives. Coordinate with Functional Management to staff the IPT.
* Provide support as an interface to the customer on details pertaining to their product scope.

* Conduct thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization A current/active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program clearance is required Basic Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer:
* Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree with 10 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields

* US citizenship is required

* Active Secret Clearance or higher and ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance is required

* 2 years minimum background in RF hardware integration, testing and/or troubleshooting

* 1 year of experience in team (or project) leadership in one of the following areas: IPT Lead, deputy IPT Lead, test, hardware or technical, integration and test, test design, RF hardware testing and troubleshooting, or manufacturing / operations support

* Experience managing and conducting technical reviews

* Systems I&T experience

* Ability to work full-time onsite in Baltimore, MD

Preferred Qualifications :
* Experience working with cross functional teams to drive test and production improvements

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation experience and the ability to work seamlessly with a diverse community of engineers
* Experience reporting project status to program, functional management or customers

* 3+ year of experience in team (or project) leadership in one of the following areas: IPT Lead, deputy IPT Lead, test, hardware or technical, integration and test, test design, RF hardware testing and troubleshooting, or manufacturing / operations support This position in contingent upon clearance and special program access.
