DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES- Work with advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
- Challenge yourself with complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with highly experienced and technical resources.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
- Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
- 5‑7 years of experience with a high‑level scripting language such as Python or Perl.
- 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer focusing on network performance management.
- 5 years of experience with SMARTS enterprise network monitoring system, with at least 3 years implementation and configuration.
- Net Ops expertise and Broadcom in‑depth knowledge.
- 4 years of experience with RHEL versions 7 and 8.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced Perl and Python scripting skills.
- Hands‑on programming in a Java enterprise (J2EE) environment (JSF 2, EJB 3, Ajax libraries).
- Knowledge/experience/advanced skills on Broadcom Service Assurance (SMARTS) monitoring tool.
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
- TCP/IP networks knowledge.
- Broadcom Net Ops monitoring tools knowledge (plus).
- VMware systems administration.
- MS Visio experience creating network diagrams.
- MS Project experience creating and updating project plans.
- Ability to produce operational documentation using industry best practices in technical writing.
- Perl, Python, and Java advanced programming skills.
- Experience developing on JBoss EAP environments.
- MySQL database management experience.
- Version control proficiency with Git or Bitbucket.
- Service Now development experience (plus).
- Experience growing, maintaining, monitoring, and resolving network performance problems.
- Experience developing best‑practice project plans, engineering scripts, and documentation for network performance management.
- Prior Federal government experience.
- Self‑starter, highly motivated, adaptable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to operate across multiple priorities.
- Participation in daily scrum and providing updates.
Pay Range: $92,300.00 – $. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation. Compensation may consider responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and applicable agreements or law.
