We are seeking a Principal Electronics Test Engineer to take ownership of the successful delivery of products from our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Manufacturing Cell. This role is ideal for proactive, self‑motivated individuals who thrive in fast‑paced environments and enjoy solving technical challenges. You will work with advanced RF and digital hardware, supporting development, integration, and production testing.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement improved testing methods and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and support RF and digital hardware, including circuit card assemblies (CCAs).
- Perform evaluation and fault isolation across digital, analog, and power circuit technologies.
- Support First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and ensure hardware delivery schedules are met.
- Analyze test data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Define changes in testing equipment, procedures, and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with design engineering to implement hardware improvements.
- Provide technical guidance and training to test technicians.
- Monitor product yields and drive corrective actions to meet program targets.
- Participate in program meetings to report yield issues and root cause analysis findings.
- Interface with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, design, systems engineering, and program management.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 0 years of experience.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics, parts lists, and block diagrams.
- Hands‑on experience with RF and digital hardware.
- Working knowledge of RF theory, concepts, and digital circuit design.
- Proficiency with RF/Digital test equipment (e.g., DMM, power supplies, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
- Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with FPGAs, JTAG, and high‑speed digital interfaces (e.g., LVDS).
- Familiarity with PXI/PXIe and VME bus systems.
- Programming experience with Lab Windows CVI, C/C , and Test Stand.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical hardware.
