Position Summary

McCormick Taylor has an immediate opening for an Environmental/Asset Management Program Support Specialist in its growing Asset Management team. The role supports program planning, strategic work‑plan implementation, and program optimization, as well as program‑specific technical and tactical tasks. The ideal candidate enjoys a diverse project portfolio, works collaboratively, handles multiple tasks, and is proactive about meeting deadlines in a hybrid remote environment.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Support client NPDES MS4 and/or transportation asset management programs.
  • Understand program reporting requirements and develop/advise on strategies to facilitate compliance.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and documentation strategies for program development/compliance.
  • Prepare written documentation including meeting minutes, standard operating procedures, white papers, memos, technical reports, and program plans.
  • Prepare presentation materials for clients and present on program/project related topics.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to guide and inform client programs when appropriate.
  • Identify and streamline client processes aligned to program goals.
  • Track project scopes and coordinate with the team to resolve work beyond the required scope before expending person‑hours.
  • Assist with preparation of technical and price proposals.
  • Coordinate client, sub‑consultant, and in‑house staff with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Organize resources and materials effectively.
  • Anticipate and resolve conflicts or issues in project/task schedules.
Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of experience supporting environmental/NPDES MS4 and/or asset management programs.
  • B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Transportation Planning, or Environmental Science preferred.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills.
  • Technical document writing and public‑facing presentation skills.
  • Highly effective organization, coordination, and file‑management skills.
  • Process and detail‑oriented work style.
  • Excellent client‑management skills.
  • Experience with MS4/asset management in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or other Mid‑Atlantic/East Coast states and local agencies.
  • Ability to interpret client and regulatory requirements to ensure successful project completion.
  • Focused, efficient time‑management and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to learn from and collaborate with teammates of all levels.
  • Goal‑driven growth mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite;
    Power

    BI experience is a plus.
  • Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, and proactive.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Engagement of multiple perspectives when solving problems and promoting reciprocal learning.
  • Primarily remote with occasional on‑site visits based on company or client expectations.
