Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, high-energy HVAC Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team in the Advanced Manufacturing Group. The role focuses on designing HVAC systems for heavy industrial clients, collaborating with a multi-discipline team, and ensuring technical quality and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities
  • Layout and design of HVAC systems.
  • Develop design criteria for HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, accurate temperature or humidity control, and unique pressurization or cleanliness requirements for clean room applications.
  • Produce conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
  • Create final design documents, specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and manage schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks.
Qualifications
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC system design.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
  • Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems.
