About the Role

Hey Tutor has partnered with a local school district in Baltimore to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to Elementary School students.

Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.

We are hiring Spanish Bilingual English & Math Tutors to support students in grades k–5th during the school day.

$22–$26 per hour , based on education and experience. Attendance-based pay incentives. Voluntary health benefits (Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity). 401(k) retirement plan. Schedule Monday–Friday availability required. Must be available between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

• Completed AA degree or higher, or currently enrolled in college (required)
• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
• Comfortable tutoring Elementary Math and English Language Arts (ELA)
• Ability to manage small groups independently
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check (provided by Hey Tutor)
• Spanish Bilingual is required
• Key Responsibilities:
  
  Tutor small groups of Elementary students without direct teacher supervision;
  Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials;
  Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment;
  Support positive student behavior and participation;
  Track attendance and student progress using the Hey Tutor Dashboard;
  Assist with student assessments when requested;
  Escort students to and from designated areas on campus;
  Clock in/out daily using Deputy;
  Complete additional duties as assigned
