Student to Student Program Associate

Jewish Federation of Baltimore is seeking a part-time Student to Student Program Associate.
Position summary:
Student to Student (STS) is a program that connects Jewish teens of all backgrounds and denominations with non-Jewish peers to prevent and counter antisemitism and demystify Judaism, highlighting the diversity in our community. The unique classroom-based experiential program has had over 32 years of successful teen bridge-building.
The Student to Student Program Associate, working appropriately 20 hours per week, will be the primary staff person overseeing the program. The Program Associate will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and implementation of the program including recruitment of students, liaising with educational institutions, and coordinating all logistics of presentations.
This is a part-time, hybrid position.
Responsibilities:- Represent The Associated’s Countering Antisemitism new initiative within the K-12 sector.
- Build relationships with school administrators and teachers within both the public and private divisions.
- Recruit Jewish student presenters by building relationships with Jewish community professionals (clergy, educators, youth professionals, day school staff, etc.).
- Organize and oversee training for Jewish student presenters. This consists of in-person training for teens and various virtual training courses throughout the year offered nationally.
- Organize diverse Jewish student presenter groups and identify group leaders.
- Conduct outreach to local schools to market STS and bring presentations to their classrooms.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 1-3 years work related experience
- Ability to be flexible
- Passion for and commitment to The Associated’s mission
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and Sundays
- Ability to maintain confidentially
- Ability to manage and resolve conflict
Ability to work well in a team environment - Ability to work in a diverse group of people
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Salary: starting salary is $30.00-$35.00 per hour; commensurate with experience.
