The position is a joint appointment with the Center for Equitable Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Systems (CEAMLS) at the tenure‑track assistant professor level. Candidates with substantial research and teaching experience will be considered for an associate professor appointment.

The ISE Department offers an ABET accredited BS degree in Industrial Engineering, a Master of Engineering degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Industrial Engineering.

A commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate level is fundamental to this position and to the mission of Morgan State University. The department is particularly interested in candidates with a background and interests in Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) and at least one major aspect of industrial engineering, including robotics, digital twins, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Applicants must have an earned doctorate degree (at the time of appointment) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates with teaching and research interests in the areas of industrial engineering and ML/AI, with an interest in collaboration across the university, are encouraged to apply.

A review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the selection of the finalist in time for a planned start date in fall 2025.
