School Age Assistant Teacher (Part-Time)

Schedule Requirement:
Monday–Friday | 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
This schedule is firm and required.

Position Overview

The School Age Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in delivering high-quality after-school programming. This role helps maintain a safe, structured, and engaging environment that promotes positive behavior, learning, and social development for school-age children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with active supervision and engagement of children during after-school programming.
  • Support learning activities, group projects, enrichment, and recreational play
  • Encourage positive behavior, respectful peer interactions, and teamwork
  • Help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of classrooms and shared areas
  • Communicate effectively with Lead Teachers and site leadership
  • Participate in required training, coaching, and professional development
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience working with children in a group setting (preferred)

Willingness to complete required MSDE/OCC training

Ability to follow structured routines and classroom expectations

Dependable, energetic, and team-oriented

Schedule Commitment

Applicants must be able to work consistently from Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM–6:00 PM . This is a non-negotiable schedule requirement.
