Responsibilities and Duties
This role is a launchpad for careers in STEM education, outreach, and coordination. You will:
Teach engaging STEM lessons for K–12 students.
Build communication, leadership, and lab skills (PCR, gel electrophoresis, etc.)
Learn program and event logistics.
Gain administrative and grant project experience.
Strengthen your résumé with professional skills for education, nonprofits, and STEM fields.
What You’ll Do
Lead and/or co-lead classes attending the Sci Tech Student Learning Lab for grades 3–12 (see activities on our website).
Support lab operations by preparing equipment and materials for Sci Tech classes and Loaner Lab kits.
Provide logistics & admin support for educational programs.
Note this position is located at the TU Center for STEM Excellence in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore (701
E. Pratt St., 21202) and not on TU's main campus.
Bachelor's Degree.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
One year of experience working with K–12 students.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, One Drive, Google tools, Zoom, and similar platforms.
Flexibility, patience, and a growth mindset.
Excellent communication skills.
Background in a STEM/Computer Science/Education field.
Prior teaching/instructional experience in formal or informal STEM education.
