Teacher Education Faculty – 10 Month

Community College of Baltimore County invites applications for a 10‑month teaching position in the Teacher Education program.

Faculty members shape future educators. This role includes teaching a 15‑credit load each semester, service on committees, and participation in program development.

• Design and teach dynamic courses in teacher education, including online and in‑person formats.
• Assess and support student learning, maintain academic records, and conduct student‑centered evaluation.
• Provide regular office hours, maintain a professional development plan, and stay current in the field.
• Collaborate with colleagues to build and improve courses, curricula, and academic policies.
• Serve on departmental, school, campus, and college committees and engage in community‑benefit activities.

• Master’s degree in Teacher Education or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of teaching experience at the Pre‑K‑12 level with diverse populations.
• Preferred teaching experience at the post‑secondary level and online learning experience.
• Excellent communication skills, knowledge of current legislation, and familiarity with the Maryland teacher certification requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to design student‑centered instructional practices and professional growth.
