Job OverviewThe positional duties involve teaching day, evening, weekend, or online classes. Adjunct faculty are expected to prepare and deliver instruction, submit materials and grades on time, coordinate activities with the department chair or coordinator, attend department meetings, participate in professional development, be available to students outside of class, and assist in maintaining program accreditation.
Minimum Requirements- A Master’s of Science degree in a business‑related field or an MBA
- Two (2) years of teaching experience
- Special competence and three years in a relevant academic or technical field
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Prior college teaching experience preferred
- Fulfils department and college responsibilities as directed by the program director and/or course coordinator
- Adheres to college-wide policies and procedures for classroom conduct
- Ensures instruction meets or exceeds standards established by ACBSP accreditation council
- Employs a variety of teaching strategies to meet a diverse student population
- Adheres to scheduled class time
- Develops a course syllabus consistent with program and college policies
- Ensures program-specific evaluation methods are administered and completed consistently and equitably
- Assures evaluation methods are appropriate and effectively assess established course objectives
- Monitors student performance regularly and provides feedback within a reasonable timeframe
Pay Level: $1,085.00 per credit hour
