Position: Advanced Specialty Training Program in (ASTP)/Advanced Fellowship

Overview

Johns Hopkins Pathology is recruiting for our  advanced soft-tissue bone fellowship, which offers trainees the opportunity to sign out cases independently in a highly supportive setting. Applications may be submitted now, and acceptances are on a rolling basis until the program is filled. The fellowship is flexible and may be structured to meet the applicant's interests (more months of sign-out in areas of interest, fewer in others).

Responsibilities
  • Independent sign-out of bone-soft tissue pathology cases (in-house and consult)
  • Intraoperative frozen-section evaluation
  • Resident instruction
  • Oversight of the grossing area
  • Participation in clinical conferences
  • Access to a broad menu of immunostains, in situ hybridization, and molecular assays
  • Participation in 4 months of unstructured elective time for subspecialty consultation sign-outs, research, professional development, job interviews, and vacation
Qualifications
  • Board-eligible in AP or AP/CP by July 1
  • Opportunities may exist for international pathology trainees who have completed pathology residencies and have ECFMG certification if they are US citizens, non-citizen nationals, or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence

Salary Range: The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will depend on multiple factors, including geographical location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training, and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.
