The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks candidates to join the full-time faculty of the Division of General Surgery, Section of Colorectal Surgery, at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Candidates should be board‑certified in Colorectal Surgery or currently in training in an accredited Colorectal Surgery fellowship program.
Responsibilities- Establish a broad colorectal surgery practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center with a focus on complex inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer.
- Conduct independent clinical or laboratory research.
- Educate medical students, surgery residents, and fellows.
- Develop a clear plan for clinical practice building, academic development, and scholarly activity consistent with the mission of the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
- Board‑certified in Colorectal Surgery or currently in training in an accredited Colorectal Surgery fellowship program.
The School of Medicine is located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, near the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards. Preferred rank is Assistant Professor or higher; rank and tenure status depend on candidate qualifications.

Salary Range: $346,354 - $567,168. This range reflects base pay and may vary with additional components of the departmental faculty compensation program.
