Overview
The Wilmer Eye Institute is seeking an MD or MD/PhD who has advanced training in the medical and surgical management of Vitreoretinal diseases. A research program with extramural funding related to this area of expertise is desired. The research could range from basic laboratory studies to translational studies, including efficacy work, to effectiveness studies and their dissemination. Keen interest in teaching residents and fellows is a must.
Participation will include seeing patients at satellite offices. The faculty member will have an opportunity to build an outstanding program in retinal research, working in a highly interactive and exciting collaborative environment with distinguished scientists throughout the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Faculty rank and support will be dependent upon the successful applicant's experience and accomplishments.
- See patients at satellite offices as part of clinical duties.
- Develop and conduct a research program related to Vitreoretinal diseases, with extramural funding preferred.
- Participate in teaching residents and fellows.
- Contribute to the clinical and surgical management of Vitreoretinal diseases within a collaborative Johns Hopkins environment.
- MD or MD/PhD with advanced training in the medical and surgical management of Vitreoretinal diseases.
- The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank and does not include all components of the Department of Ophthalmology faculty compensation program or pay from participation in incentive programs. Actual compensation may vary from the stated range.
