Academic Breast Radiation Oncologist

Overview

The Johns Hopkins Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences is seeking an academically focused breast radiation oncologist to join the Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital location in Washington, D.C. Clinical activities will include leading the Johns Hopkins breast radiation oncology service across all sites and collaborating with breast surgeons, medical oncology, and other breast cancer care providers. Participation within the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center will be encouraged, and the candidate will work closely with the integrated clinical team at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the National Capital Region, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Research can combine clinical, physics and/or biology-based interests, with an emphasis on innovative clinical trials.

• Lead the Johns Hopkins breast radiation oncology service across all sites.
• Collaborate with breast surgeons, medical oncology, and other breast cancer care providers.
• Engage with the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center and Johns Hopkins clinical teams.
• Pursue research that may combine clinical, physics and/or biology-based interests, with an emphasis on innovative clinical trials.

• MD and A  board certification (preferred) or eligibility.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in Radiation Oncology.
• Strong interest in the clinical care and research of breast cancer patients.

The salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.
