Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to support the full design process, from early planning through project completion. The role involves developing concepts, producing documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates hold a degree in Architecture, have experience in hospitality or residential projects, and are proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills are essential, along with familiarity with building codes and contract administration.
Sketching ability, NCARB certification, and interest in LEED accreditation are valuable pluses.
- Lead select projects in conjunction with a Sr Architect and/or Director of Architecture.
- Serve as a representative for clients, suppliers, vendors, and colleagues within the industry.
- Maintain a strong presence in professional organizations such as AIA, USGBC, and CSI.
- Engage occasionally with high-end private club clientele and other key stakeholders.
- Work on hospitality, institutional, and technical construction documents.
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
- 5-10 years of experience in architectural design.
- Proven experience with hospitality or residential projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, or other BIM software.
- Adeptness in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of building codes and contract administration.
Skills & Qualifications
- NCARB certification preferred with active record in good standing.
- Demonstrated sketching ability preferred.
- Experience working with expanded project teams, including engineering consultants, general contractors, and vendors.
- Aspiration toward LEED accreditation is a plus.
The work environment includes approximately 40 employees located between the main headquarters in Baltimore and an office in Naples. Travel is required one night a month to visit clients and job sites throughout the US, focusing on private clubs, clubhouses, restaurants, aquatic centers, etc. The company offers Virtual Fridays, fostering a flexible work culture.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
