- Collaborates with team members, engineers and other consultants for coordination of work
- Utilizes space planning, 3D visualization, knowledge of materials and common building practices to create a design and carry it through to completion
- Delivers design intent, verbally, graphically and in writing to the internal design team as well as clients, consultants and contractors
- Contributes to the production of design documents and detailed development of construction documents during all project phases
- Reviews shop drawings, material submittals and conducts periodic site visits during construction
- Performs layout and assembly of material boards
- Assembles furniture presentations, specification packages, interior design and finish presentations
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design
- 3-10 years of interior design experience on Educational/Housing projects preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of design software such as Revit, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion or Enscape
- Possesses general knowledge of building codes and ADA guidelines as they relate to life safety and space planning
- Team player with a collaborative mindset
- Interest in PK-12 Educational and Housing Interiors
