WPOC, Baltimore’s #1 Country Station, seeks an energetic, engaging morning show co‑host to join long‑time personality Michael J. The role requires a deep passion for country music, an understanding of Baltimore culture, and social media expertise to connect with listeners.

• Provide an engaging on‑air presence, complementing Michael J’s long‑standing market presence.
• Develop daily content that resonates with the Baltimore audience, including local stories and humor.
• Maintain an active social media presence, creating engaging posts and generating buzz.
• Represent the station at community events, charity functions, and local gatherings.
• Collaborate with the production team on creative direction and show growth.
• Perform news, talk, music, comedic, or other radio formats, and adhere to all station and FCC guidelines.
• Prepare for on‑air shifts, manage studio equipment, handle emergency inserts, and support promotional spots.
• Maintain a web presence and prepare written and visual content for online platforms.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and social networking.
• Proficient in media production and broadcast systems (Nex Gen, Vox Pro, Pro Tools).
• Strong knowledge of FCC rules and regulations.
• Well‑controlled voice, excellent pronunciation, and engaging on‑air personality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong grammar and editing abilities.
• Demonstrated creativity, adaptability, and composure under pressure.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• 3+ years of on‑air radio experience; audio demo of interviews, commentary, announcements required.
• Four‑year college degree, preferably in Communications or Broadcast Journalism.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
• Lead promotion member for The Beat (if applicable).

Salary: $56,000 – $70,000 (plus benefits). Salary is determined by experience, skills, and market data.
